Positioning the Object for Scanning
- Place the object on an item that is not wider than the object itself, such as a box or a set of tubes, as long as the object remains stable.
- Minimize the contact surface with the supporting object.
- Ensure that the contact surface is on a flat part of the object to be upholstered. This will make processing easier.
Scan Quality
- All ‘to be upholstered parts’ need to be scanned.
- Send the scan including color. If this is not possible and slots need to be positioned, contact us to discuss how and where to place them.
- File Type Readable in Rhino (Rinoceros): .obj, .stl, .step, etc.
